About Accreditation & Credentialing
Understanding Accreditation
Accreditation entails a comprehensive evaluation and endorsement of educational materials produced by providers offering courses or programmes. CCBP’s role is to ensure that the standards of the discipline are upheld as defined by leading experts in the field. This process is essential for guaranteeing quality assurance within specific disciplines.
Our accreditation programme is designed to examine all facets of educational programming, including the qualifications of instructors. This is a critical due diligence step for colleges and institutions, each of which maintains its own set of internal standards. Additionally, the review process is significant for organisations running seminars or workshops that do not have a direct connection to accredited colleges or training facilities.
CCBP offers certification to eligible candidates in recognised disciplines. As part of the certification process, CCBP is committed to ensuring quality assurance related to the courses completed, thereby establishing the standards for the discipline. This process is always conducted in collaboration with the training facilities responsible for delivering the courses.
Accreditation Process
Training facilities seeking accreditation for their programmes or courses must apply to CCBP by submitting a range of documentation, including course outlines, marketing materials, instructor CVs, and in-class video recordings. The submitted course materials are reviewed by CCBP auditors, who then make a recommendation regarding approval. To finalise the process, an on-site audit or virtual interview is conducted, encompassing the following elements:
- Review of curriculum and course structure
- Assessment of testing procedures
- Classroom observations to evaluate presentations
- Examination of instructor CVs
- Evaluation of teaching and instructional methods
- Student interviews
- Analysis of graduation rates
- Employer placement surveys, including job placement statistics
- Review of complaint procedures
- Phone interviews with employers who have utilised the student placement service
Upon successful completion of these reviews, accreditation is granted, and the training facility is notified. An official accreditation certificate, along with the CCBP Stamp of Approval logo, is issued for use in course materials and marketing, such as on websites.
Ongoing Review and Compliance
Once accreditation is awarded, CCBP conducts follow-up reviews on a scheduled basis to ensure the ongoing consistency of courses and instructors. Course materials are periodically reviewed to identify any necessary updates or significant alterations. Accreditation specifically pertains to the approval of programmes.
CCBP develops partnership with a range of associations and institutes to manage certification programmes. The accreditation process operates on a programme-by-programme basis, with fees assessed according to various factors, including size, scope, and frequency. Credentialing services for Individuals
CCBP also certifies individuals. Education providers often offer curricula that lead to diplomas or certificates in specific disciplines and may seek to establish an official certification programme for these areas. For viable proposals, CCBP collaborates with industry representatives to develop a certification designation.
All requests for new certification programmes are thoroughly evaluated for feasibility by the CCBP Board of Examiners. Proposals that do not meet the criteria necessary to uphold a professional designation will be rejected. It is important to note that all requests for certification programmes begin with the successful completion of the CCBP accreditation audit process outlined above.
